She was my best friends Gran. When I was 12 that was very important to me. And now at 43 it still is. She always welcomed me with a warm smile. So quiet and gentle I always felt very safe in her presence. I never felt judged and she always made sure you and everyone around her was okay. As I grew up and had a child of my own she treated him with exactly the same kindness. Always giving him some spending money whenever she saw him. I don’t think I will ever forget her ever present smile, the twinkle in her eye and that quiet little laugh. I will particularly remember how much she loved her family and how much they loved her in return.
